I can’t stand neocons. They’ve taken something amazing—conservatism/classical liberalism—claimed it as their own, and poisoned it. Words simply cannot express just how angry I am at them.
News: Don’t bother on Friday.
CVS/comic will now be updated on Monday and Saturday. Eventually, I’ll start randomly releasing goodies during the week.
Comic: “Everything’s Better with a Drinky Drinky”
Raiding the horrible archives. This is taken from an AIM conversation I had with Joe in September 2004, and the “frat party” line was my response to what he told me:
Joe: did you see cheif BP durring hurricane charley?
Me: whom?
Joe: the indian guy who was the manager of a BP connect
Joe: all these news people kept interviewing him
Joe: “what kind of stuff are people buying?”
Joe: “mostly snacks and beer”
Me: WoW
Me: what we buy on road trips!
Me: and weekends!
Joe: yep
Joe: lol
Me: and for NFL games!
Joe: exactly
Joe: actually there was one news organization
Joe: that i saw where the reporters and anchors werent hating on each other
Joe: news 7, whoever that is lol
Me: AB funny
Joe: so, cheif BP, what are people doing for this hurricane?
Joe: drinking lots of beer, and eating lots of snacks
Joe: but this time they’re also drinking wine coolers and rum
Me: it’s a college frat party!
Ah crap.
So, yeah, I had no time to do anyting today, either. I apologize that there was only one comic this week; I’ll try to make up for it next week.
Try Saturday.
Today was a wasted day for me. I got almost no schoolwork done. I installed the DSL modem today, and I knew I’d have to redo the router’s settings, so I pulled out the setup CD. (I didn’t want to mess with the settings manually, because I knew I’d screw something up.) Ok, so I follow the intructions and…I’m informed that the PC can’t connect to the router. Wonderful.
Long story short, I spent from 12:00 to 1:50 foolin’ around with the network, trying to get that piece of crap Linksys to work. Then I had to get ready for bass, since we were leaving at 2:30. After class I tried the final method the Bombay-based tech-support guy gave me. Magically, it didn’t work.
We called tech support again, and it seemed like the new tech guy was going to have me do the exact same crap I did earlier. There was one step extra, though, and that proved to be the deciding factor in the router’s working.
I’m dead-tired now, and I have double the amount of schoolwork to do tomorrow. So tomorrow’s comic-volume is delayed until Saturday, and I make no guarantees for a morning release.
USA PATRIOT Act
I have figured out the rationale—at least PR-wise—behind the USA PATRIOT Act. Click the image to read.
